Hello! Welcome to my Luxury Travel blog ! I’m Fernanda Silva, a Swiss-Brazilian who started travelling the world at a very early age and soon became a travel addict with many interesting stories to tell.
.
Travel has always been part of my life and people have always come to me for itineraries e some travel advice. Up to now I have lived in 4 countries and visited more than 50 countries. People say that I always have some opinion about a destination, even to places I have not yet been to (although there is always a unique destination in my bucket list).
.
But travel has not always been a hobby for me. I started taking the taste for travel as a serious business back in 2009, when I was living in Geneva, Switzerland. It was then that I founded Wedding Luxe, a boutique destination wedding company which organizes sophisticated weddings and events, initially all over Europe, and more recently in other parts of the world.
.
In all these years of Wedding Luxe I had the opportunity of organizing more than 80 weddings & events in the most prestigious hotels in the world such as the Four Seasons George V Paris, The Ritz London, The Fairmont Montreux, Pestana Palace Lisbon, Shangri-La Paris, Belmond Caruso, among others. I was also pretty happy to see my events published in BRIDES, GLAMOUR and VOGUE as well as in wedding blogs all over the world. The destination wedding business opened a lot of doors to me and I was soon invited to talk in international fairs and also the media.
.
As designing a destination wedding requires not only organizing the party itself but also catering to the needs of the guests, I soon realized I was more than a wedding planner to my clients. It was then that in 2019 I created Travel Luxe in a way to assist my clients not only as a concierge and luxury travel advisor but also to organize unique experiences for small groups worldwide.
.
Then in 2020, as you all may know, the events & travel industries were the most badly hit by the pandemic. I got pretty scared at first but I was given a lot of time to meditate and search inside myself :) As I always loved writing it did not take me long to start my own travel blog.
.
And it is right here that you will find all my savoir-faire in the luxury travel world, as well as tips for my favorite destinations, the most gastronomical restaurants, reviews of the most exclusive hotels and also my opinion on luxury SPA hotels and retreats worldwide.
.
You will also find here MY OWN special retreats and exclusive trips for very small groups, putting together all my knowledge in hospitality and the organization of unique experiences for very special people like YOU !

🌟✨ Just wrapped up an incredible stay at Raff 🌟✨ Just wrapped up an incredible stay at Raffles Doha in Qatar! The stunning architecture (the moon-shaped format of the buiding) is really unique!

From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with unparalleled hospitality and the elegant interiors took my breath away! As I entered the lobby I was blown away by the huge caleidoscope with a 42-meter project on the ceiling - another WOW moment! 😍

In my suite every detail was meticulously crafted and I had the most amazing views of The Gulf everywhere I looked. Every moment was pure bliss whether it was by the pool, indulging in a delicious breakfast, or enjoying the serene spa ✨

A huge thank you to the amazing staff of @rafflesdoha for making my stay so special! I can't wait to return!

As you enter the restaurant you get hipnotized by their open kitchen - full of ingredients - and wonderful people preparing the meals in typical Thai style: lots of spices and their unique Thai savoir-faire! 🌶️🫚🧅🌿

Swipe left to see my experience! I can't thank you enough @capellabangkok ❤️🇹🇭

I always have a lot of fun in Bangkok. This is my I always have a lot of fun in Bangkok. This is my third visit to the city and the Thai capital nevers disappoints! ❤️🌸

This time I spent more time in Chao Phraya river and went for a great tour of the cannals where I saw a lot of temples and golden buddhas ❤️

Here are my suggestions of what not to miss in Bangkok:

📍Bangkok canal boat tour - really enjoyed that and you see the city from a different perspective.

📍The Reclining Buddha - the Wat Pho is always a must!

📍Visit the temples and always remember to cover your shoulders and knees!

📍 Finish your day at one of the amazing rooftop bars in the city. The views at sunset are breathtaking.

Today "The Oriental" is part of the luxury hotel brand "Mandarin Oriental" in Bangkok. It was an honor for me to be invited by @mo_bangkok to experience the famous High Tea at the Author's Lounge located in the oldest part where the Oriental hotel used to be.

The experiece is really unique. Swipe left to see how amazing my afternoon high tea was!
